YEAH for the black people!
Hello again everyone,
I just got back from San Diego for the "race reunion". It was sooo great! I got a chance to meet the bowling moms and the guido's (the two teams I hadn't met). I also got a chance to reconnect with the people from my season. Rebecca and I were able to bond over being partnerless and I am here to say that she is SUPER COOL! I wish I had been able to connect with her sooner, but I am sure that we will be hanging out a lot in the future.

On another note, lets discuss the race:

First, I must mention that Joyce still looks fabulous with her short hair! (as seen on the early show)

I am going to apologize in advance for a sketchy breakdown, but I watched the race at a party and it was really hard to hear what was going on. So, that being said...the first part of the show was a bit slow for me. The raft thing bothered me! I wanted to set a fire under Kelly's a** because she was yelling at Ron and not helping him at all!

Props to Amber, and everyone else for that matter, for jumping off the cliff without hesitation. Again, must we compare how my season jumped out of planes and these people got away with jumping 30 ft. (we won't go there)

Joyce, you are a lucky woman! Uchenna stole my heart when I saw him hug her in that airport. He was so supportive and not once did he yell at her or make her feel silly for crying. I am sure that it was really hard to stand there and beg when people aren't giving you money. I know ya'll are gonna hate me for "going there", but in our world it is harder for a black couple to beg for money. Last night we saw the world's racism on television. Uchenna really had to take a hit on his pride. THAT, is a real man!

Next, lets discuss the plane. Well, it was sketchy and we can all speculate as to what happened. That being said, I won't go there. Despite any sketchy situations, I believe that Uchenna and Joyce were deserving of the million. For example, if Rob was in Uchenna's situation with that cab in the end, he would have run off without paying.

If Ron could have won without Kelly that would have made me happy too! This morning on the early show, Kelly pulled a Kendra. When faced with her ugly comments, instead of just saying sorry she tried to make excuses.

So, that is all for now! I hope you all enjoyed the season as I have. Despite the ugly haters, I am glad some of you enjoyed my weekly rants! ;)

It's almost over
Topic: The Amazing Race
So, this will be short and sweet because after only two days teaching I have gotten sick. My students are snotty nosed monsters! ;)

Ok, so where do I begin. Let me just start off my saying, again, that Uchenna (I mean Joyce) has serious made me consider shaving my head because she looks GREAT! Kelly, on the other hand, is struggling without that makeup. Did anyone else think it was a little nasty that she asked to use that woman's lipstick? Can't you get herpes that way?
Rob and Amber were the only two who didn't think the religious dancing was beautiful. hmmmm, I am not going to EVEN comment on that one. I hate how Rob/Amber keep getting people to help them. I wonder if they would ever be able to figure out those clues on their own?

Let me just address Meredith and Gretchen. They are very lucky to have gotten this far. They would not have survived our race. (feel free to disagree, but I think our race was harder physically) That being said, I am happy for them to have lasted to the final four.

I am so irritated that Romber won a prize for being first. Uchenna and Joyce won TWICE with no prize! They totally deserve the million - just for that! ;)

Things I learned this week:

* I need to go back to London just so that I can ride that "eye"!
* Even beauty queens need to wear makeup sometimes.
* I want Uchenna and Joyce to win, but I wouldn't mind Rob/Amber coming in second. (sorry Ron, Kelly has been getting on my nerves)
* It can be very theraputic to color devil faces on Romber while waiting the full 30 minutes for the yield to ellapse.

That's it folks. Good Luck to the final three and goodbye Meredith and Gretchen. (who will never be as cool as my granparents Don and MJ)

The Ugliness Continues...
Topic: The Amazing Race
Ok, let's talk about some extreme ugliness from tonight's episode.

First, I can't believe Kelly said that Ron was trying to escape the army by being a POW! Kelly, I know it is really hard being a beauty queen, and that you would give that up in a heartbeat to be held prisoner in a foreign country...ok, maybe not! Ron, let Kelly go home and play with her makeup. Move on and see the world!

Did I say that I was starting to like Rob? Damn Rob, as soon as I want to say you are a good racer...your ugliness comes out. Who are you calling stupid? You still think you are on survivor. NEWS FLASH...you don't need to be mean to win The Amazing Race! What does he have to gain by that? Ron and Kelly cannot vote Uchenna/Joyce off just because you think they are stupid! Hey Rob - Uchenna and Joyce outsmarted you. Does that make you more stupid than stupid? (Sorry Romber fans, it needed to be said)

I LOVED the little travolocity gnome! Why didn't they have anything that cool on our race? Did anyone else fall off their chair laughing when Gretch was carrying around her little guy like a baby? Oh well, at least she wasn't trying to ride it!

I have a question about the detour. Could I have chosen Kilo and added my dad's weight? If so, we would have been all over that! ;) "Daddy, just step on the scale...." "Ok, we're done!" (Gus and Hera - Team #1)

I thought it was so cute when Uchenna was coaching himself through the roadblock. (It reminded me of when I climbed the stairs of the ski jump and I was trying to talk myself out of passing out.) Is anyone else a little bitter that this is the SECOND time Uchenna/Joyce have not won a prize for being first?

Gretch, congrads on being the oldest to make it as far as you have...but please, STOP screeeeching!!! Just do it and shut the hell up about it! Meredith may be named after a girl, but he should have climbed the building. Oh, and just got the record...my grandma MJ would have ROCKED on that ladder and she is 66 too!

I had so much fun in this episode spotting the gnome! Did ya'll see Ron carrying it on top of his backpack? When Amber said, "hey" back to Kelly I had an unfortunate flashback to middle school! I was soooooo glad that Romber didn't have a plane on their knome. Wow, for the first time someone won money after stepping on the mat last. Can you all imagine Phil saying, "Gus and Hera...I am sorry to tell you that you are the last team to arrive; however, since you spared the American people from seeing Gus in a speedo - we have decided to give you a 20,000 prize! Oh well, a girl can dream.

By the way, this was totally the race we should have been on. First, the great boating advantages and now the BUS! I drove a school bus for a bit, that would have been grrrrreat.

Topic: TAR and more
Hey, just a message to validate my username at suvivorsucks. My screen name is cappuccinoqueen. (inside joke between me and some of my people) I hope those who were dissing me before will not back down now that I have decided to be all "in their face" and shit!haha Also, I am planning on going down to San Diego with Chip and Kim (as well as other racers) for the finale. I am still not sure if my dad will be there, but we can all hold out hope! ;)

Would I have shaved?
Topic: The Amazing Race
I have thought a lot about if I would shave my head. I think that if I knew I had to shave in order to stay in the race, I would have done it in a heart beat. So, if I were in her position I would have ended up bald too. When I was racing, there was not much I would have refused to do. It is a wierd place to be emotionally. For example, I don't EVER cry! You all would never believe that though because I cried for four hours the day we were eliminated!

Also, something I forgot in my last post: Did Gretchen riding that Elephant bother anyone else? She said, "we have a slow elephant" and I was like "Of course it's slow! It has to carry your ass in addition to itself!" Sorry Gretch - it needed to be said!

My new career ;) and some TAR
Mood:  cheeky
Topic: TAR and more
Before I begin, I would just like to give a shout out to Joyce (of Uchenna and Joyce)! I was floored when she decided to go through with shaving her head. For a woman, it is such a huge sacrifice to shave your head completely! She totally showed that she was deserving of the million and that she is respectful of other cultures.

I don't have much of a commentary about this weeks episode because I was actually in San Fran for the weekend. I was actually with Don and MJ when I was watching the episode.

In addition to the head shaving, it was interesting to see Phil tell the old people that they are "the oldest racers to have gone that far." Let's just say that there was a moment of silence in the living room when that was said. It isn't a secret that MJ hates them...so, it was a sad time.

Suprisingly, I was sad when the boyfriends got eliminated. I have had my differences with them, but they were strong racers; whereas, I think Meredith and Gretchen have been lucky. I have never seen a pair of racers get saved so many times in one season! Here is what I am referring to:
1. Non-elimination
2. "To be continued..."
3. Numerous bunch ups

It just seems like they are always last. Every episode, someone screws up so much that they save the old people. Oh well, I guess it is good they have been allowed to go so far. I am just bitter!haha

Finally, I thought that I would let you all know that in light of the rediculous amounts of money involved in blogging - I have decided to quit my job and become a fulltime blogger! Thanks Survivorsucks for directing me towards my new found talent!haha (just kidding) As my first lesson, I would like to teach ya'll about code switching. When you go to an interview, you use different language than with friends. On that note, when blogging you have a little more freedom than writing a business letter! So, I refuse to spellcheck or write as if I am being graded. PLEASE, stop reading if my "artistic freedom" offends! :)

You know you're famous when...
Topic: randomness
You know you're famous when people start caring so much about what you write on a frickin' blog. Some things I have learned this week:

1. How well you write on a your blog should be the new IQ test!

2. Skinny girls who want to loose weight should be encouraged to do so. (Especially if they are about to get married)

3. Beware of Romber fanatics! They can get very unreasonable when faced with reality (or just an assessment of scripted television) ;)

4. If you liked Gus/Hera and Don/MJ from TAR6 you are clearly on crack! (that was my favorite)

5. A complete idiot can get a masters degree! (Just be sure to tell her that she should not submit her blog in place of her thesis)

Ok, that being said...I would like to encourage all those who enjoy my mindless banter to keep reading and, if not, DON'T!haha As far as my assessment of the racers, I am wise enough to realize that I don't know any of them (yet) and that my comments are based upon edited information. I am sure that they are all great people and would not EVER take anything I say (or will say) personally. Lets be honest - in order to be on a reality show you have to be able to laugh at yourself! (imagine how much of a sense of humor you would have if you had been on several! ;)

Nothin' but love for Mr. Producer Man!
Topic: The Amazing Race
Ok ya'll...let me just clear something up: I LOVE the show and I think that the creators are absolutely amazing. Even so, that does not stop me from being opinionated! That being said, I know how the racers felt when they came to the mat because it happened to us. It feels like the entire leg was a waste. I actually preferred the non-elims because it felt like your place was actually honored a little. So yeah, I was bitter when the To Be continued happened to us...and I am willing to admit that it killed us emotionally and maybe that is why we chose the boat the next day!hah Also, to all the fans out there...I am not sure we are even on the radar for ALLSTARS...even though we would rock. So, there is no need for me to kiss up! ;)

Alliances on the race
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: The Amazing Race
Ok, so I would just like to point out how they are starting to focus more on bizarre alliances. Our season had a fair share of alliances, but they were not shown on camera as much. (with the exception of the Mactor alliance)

This weekend I have decided to change up the format and do a little running commentary of sorts! Enjoy!

So, I think I have had a change of heart towards Romber and here is why: Rob is a good racer. He may not be a nice person, but really- he is smarter than a few others who shall remain nameless. That being said, I still don't want them to win because - do they really need another million? Oh, and guys...I overdosed on the "honey/babe" overusage on my season - PLEASE STOP!!!

I am not sure why I like Ron and Kelly, but I do. I think it is the whole hero thing...its kind of sexy! ;) No other real reason though...they better watch it though because they can be a bit irritating. AND, they should have yielded Romber!

I feel a little bad saying this..but it just needs to be said. Gretchen, girl you looking a little rough! Woman had blood all over her face and they are carrying trash bags. They look like the bums that beg on the corner of the freeway! So, in addition to offering Amber a burger if I ever meet her, I am going to offer Gretchen some soap and bandages!

Roadblock assessment: Did those boxes remind anyone else of that damn hay in Sweden? Not nearly as messy or buggy, but almost as irritating. Lena was not anywhere near as whiney as Gretch though...and Lena had ticks all over her! (and eight hours under her belt)

Alex and Lynn, boys, you are NOT supermodels...quit waving to the people! And Lynn, stop yelling at your girlfriend- oops, I mean boyfriend!

Detour: I am very surprised no one choose the coal! I wish someone had because the tea task was NOT fun to watch. I hate when it feels like you are watching the same struggle over and over again.

Wow, it said make your way to Phil and the mat? Could they be implying another annoying "To be continued..." Or did Phil just need a special shout out this week?

Someone please explain to me...how the hell did Meredith and Gretch get this far? They just don't seem that competitive!

AHHHHHURGGGGHHHHHHH, I HATE to be continued episodes!!! That means that more than likely someone who was in the lead will be eliminated next week. (that is if it turns out like ours did) I feel so unsatisfied...this is worse than a non-elimination!

Number one show improvement tip(are you listening Burt?): ACCEPT MORE TEAM - ELIMINATE NON ELIMS AND TO BE CONTINUED EPISODES!!!

More African games
Mood:  sad
Ok, let me just start out my admitting that I did not watch the entire episode of tuesday, but I did see the recap so I caught up. I did, however, catch the sad elimination of the brothers. I will miss them because they were funny without being insulting and very sexy! Oh well, we loved you while you lasted boys...now I can only hope I run into you at a party in LA!haha

Moving on...I really tried very hard to start liking Alex and Lynn after the support they have been getting from a few people on the televisionwithoutpity site, but the ugliness came back again this week. So, my conclusion is either those two are getting some really really bad luck in editing...or they just have race "issues". I AM BEING NICE so I will leave it at that! Alex and Lynn...if you are out there...please post and tell me you really don't believe all those ugly things you say!

Oh, and before I forget - I got a little dizzy when Ron and kelly pledged that they were huge Bush fans...BUT - it's ok guys, I still love you!

Well, I just got back into town this week from travelling around the country visiting friends so that is all I have to say about this weeks episode. I just finished my thesis for grad school and I am a little on the "I'm so tired I am going to pass out" side of life. So, until next time! ;)
